You choose the extent to which you focus on Spanish language while in Costa Rica; all students will have the opportunity to improve their Spanish-speaking ability regardless of starting level. Participants will be enrolled in one week of intensive Spanish classes (4 hours per day) at an established Spanish language school during the first week of the program.  Classes are offered at all levels of Spanish fluency in groups of no more than four students.

You may choose to enroll (at additional cost) in one or two extra weeks of Spanish classes, in lieu of volunteering to lead the children’s program.  Meanwhile, your home-stay experience provides the perfect opportunity to put what you’ve learned in the classroom to immediate & practical use.
